Welcome to MSAM 2025!

Organized by Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), the 8th International Conference on Material Strength and Applied Mechanics (MSAM 2025) will be held in Shenzhen, China on July 11-14, 2025.

Over the past seven years, MSAM conference has successfully convened in various cities around the world, including Győr, Hungary (MSAM 2024); Macau (MSAM 2023) and Qingdao (MSAM 2022), China; Kiev, Ukraine (MSAM 2019); and Kitakyushu, Japan (MSAM 2018), as well as through virtual platforms during the global pandemic (MSAM 2020-2021). The conference has brought together leading scholars, engineers, and industry professionals to present and discuss cutting-edge research and practical applications in material strength and applied mechanics. MSAM 2025 will provide a great opportunity for global scholars and engineers from academia and industry to present and discuss the latest analytical, experimental, and computational advancements in material strength and applied mechanics, fostering a closer connection between theoretical physics and practical technological applications.

The plenary session of MSAM 2025 will include keynote speeches, invited speeches, oral presentations and poster presentations.

Shenzhen is located on the East side of the Pearl River/ the Pearl River Estuary, just north of Kowloon Peninsula, the part of Hong Kong that is contiguous with mainland China. It is one of the fastest-growing cities in China, attracting much talent from all over the country as well as from abroad. It has become a global center in technology, research, manufacturing, finance, and transportation, and is renowned as a place of opportunity.
