· Welcome to MSAM 2026!
The 9th International Conference on Material Strength and Applied Mechanics (MSAM 2026) will be held in Matsue, Japan on July 15-18, 2026.Since its inception, the MSAM conference has served as a premier platform for advancing research and innovation in material strength and applied mechanics. Over the past eight years, the conference has been successfully hosted in various cities worldwide, including Shenzhen, China (MSAM 2025); Győr, Hungary (MSAM 2024); Macau (MSAM 2023) and Qingdao (MSAM 2022), China; Kiev, Ukraine (MSAM 2019); and Kitakyushu, Japan (MSAM 2018), as well as through virtual platforms during the global pandemic (MSAM 2020-2021). The conference has brought together leading scholars, engineers, and industry professionals to present and discuss cutting-edge research and practical applications in material strength and applied mechanics.
MSAM 2026 continues this tradition by offering a dynamic forum for global academia and industry professionals to facilitate discussions and deepen the understanding of the mechanical behaviors of materials under different conditions, and showcase and explore the latest breakthroughs in analytical, experimental, and computational approaches within applied mechanics.
The plenary session of MSAM 2026 will include keynote speeches, invited speeches, oral presentations and poster presentations.
Matsue, often referred to as the "City of Water," is a picturesque city located in Shimane Prefecture, on the western coast of Japan's main island. Renowned for its stunning natural beauty, Matsue is embraced by Lake Shinji and the Ohashi River, which lends the city its nickname and contributes to its serene atmosphere. The cityscape features a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese architecture and modern elements. With its harmonious blend of history, nature, and modernity, Matsue presents a unique and authentic Japanese experience that captivates visitors from around the globe.
